JUNE 2012 FOOD RECALL:
America: On the 21 June 2012, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that a total of 390 persons have been infected with the outbreak strains of Salmonella Bareilly (376 persons) and Salmonella Nchanga (14 persons) in 27 different states and the District of Columbia since the first confirmed case in April 2012. To date, 47 persons have been hospitalised with no deaths having been reported as of yet.
MAY 2012 FOOD RECALL:
On the 10 May 2012, California State Veterinarian Dr. Annette Whiteford announced that all raw milk, raw skim milk (non-fat), raw cream and raw butter produced by Organic Pastures Dairy of Fresno County were subjected to a statewide recall and quarantine order following the confirmed detection of campylobacter bacteria in samples of the raw cream.
